Friends Across the Pond – Edward Thomas and Robert Frost

This year’s discussion between members of The Robert Frost Society and the Edward Thomas Fellowship will take place on Saturday 18 October, starting at 7.00 pm BST and run for about two hours.The theme this year is Walking, Talking, Poetry and will revolve around looking at the note books kept by both Frost and Thomas and walking and talking poetry. Participants will include regulars such as Bob Hass from the Robert Frost Society, and Edna Longley, Guy Cuthbertson and Tom Durham from the Edward Thomas Fellowship. This year they will be joined by the poet and essayist Brian Brodeur, who knows the work of Frost, Thomas, and Robinson as well as any American contemporary writers, and the author, poet, editor and critic Karen Kilcup.

The poems we will be looking at and reading during the evening will include:

There is no charge to attend but donations are always welcome to either the Robert Frost Society or the Edward Thomas Fellowship.

As participation is online via zoom, registration is required as there is a maximum of 100 permitted under our present subscription. Registration is available through Ticket Tailor where the online link to the event is available.
